Helping Hands Senior Services was founded by Charlene Sargent, RN, BSN, a dedicated healthcare professional with over 30 years of experience in the medical field. Charlene’s extensive background as a registered nurse equips her with the knowledge and expertise to match each client with a home that best suits their unique medical needs.

Inspired by her desire to simplify the often overwhelming process of finding appropriate care, Charlene created Helping Hands Senior Services to guide families and their elderly loved ones through what she calls the "senior care maze." 

Charlene’s passion is to provide peace of mind for seniors and their families by offering personalized, caring support throughout this important transition.

Co-Owner Placement Specialist & Marketing Liaison 

Lacey Simon is a valued member of the Helping Hands Senior Services team, serving as a Placement Specialist and Marketing Liaison. She has been with us since 2012 and is also a proud co-owner of the business. Lacey’s educational background includes a master’s degree in early education, which provides her with a strong foundation in communication, empathy, and understanding individual needs—key qualities that contribute to her success in helping families find the right care solutions for their loved ones.

Alongside her professional expertise, Lacey genuinely enjoys working with seniors and their families, providing compassionate guidance and support throughout the placement process. Her dedication and educational background make her an essential part of our team in ensuring families receive personalized, respectful, and effective assistance during their senior care journey.

Placement Agent

Sandy Bruno is a valued Placement Specialist at Helping Hands Senior Services, having joined our team in 2018. With over 25 years of experience in healthcare as a Managed Care Specialist and in Patient Relations, Sandy’s background provides her with a deep understanding of the complexities of the healthcare system, enabling her to effectively guide families through the process of finding the right senior care options.

In addition to her professional experience, Sandy has personally cared for a family member, which gives her a compassionate perspective and a genuine appreciation for the challenges families face. Her firsthand caregiving experience, combined with her healthcare expertise, allows her to offer empathetic, personalized support to seniors and their loved ones.

Sandy’s passion is to bring comfort and peace of mind to families navigating the often overwhelming world of senior care, and she is dedicated to helping each family find the best solutions for their specific needs.

Account Consultant Specialist

Clay Sargent is a vital part of Helping Hands Senior Services, serving as an Account Consultant Specialist. Since joining the team in 2014, Clay has brought over 37 years of customer service experience from Arizona Public Service and 17 years in real estate. He primarily handles behind-the-scenes tasks, ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently. Clay’s extensive customer service background supports our team’s commitment to providing seamless and reliable assistance for families during their senior care journey.

Physical Therapy Assistant & Certified Personal Trainer

We are proud to have a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant and Certified Personal Trainer on our team who specializes in helping active seniors or those looking to maintain their mobility and strength. His service is designed for seniors who want to feel good, stay active, and continue doing the things they love. 

He offers personalized, in-home support, coming directly to seniors to assist them in regaining mobility, building strength, and staying confident in their movements. His expertise ensures each client receives tailored guidance to help them move comfortably and safely, promoting independence and a higher quality of life.
